A self-defense class is being offered by the Clive Police Department for women only, ages 13 and up. The R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) course will be held two nights a week, three hours at a time for two weeks (12 hours total). The charge is only $25.00 for the first course, with lifetime free return policy anywhere the program is offered. Some physical activity is necessary, and workout clothes are recommended. The first night is primarily lecture based and there is an optional simulation on the last night to test your newly acquired self-defense skills. Classes will be held April 7, 10, 14, 17,  2014, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Clive Police Department, Dymond Public Safety Building, 8505 Harbach Blvd.
