Des Moines, Ia. – March 13, 2014- The Des Moines West Side Chamber will host a forum on planning for the next stage of life on Monday April 7th. Aging brings a variety challenges:
- Are we financially prepared for retirement?
- How will we receive medical care?
- Where will we live if our health declines?
- Who will make financial or medical decisions when we can no longer make them for ourselves?
Too often people are not aware of the resources available to help families plan for this next stage in life so they wait until there is a crisis to act. There is another way. The earlier we start to plan the more options we have available to us and this forum will discuss the different ways individuals and families can be proactive in planning for the next stage.
The forum is free and will be held at at Temple B’Nai Jeshurun, 5101 Grand Avenue, Des Moines from 5:30 – 6:30pm. The event will feature a panel discussion featuring chamber businesses as well as questions from the audience.
Panel: Jean Jones, Jones & Associates; Ken Fritz, Wesley Life; Kristen Hall, KH Mediation; Guy Leman, Compass Financial
