Our Next Stage of Life: Are You Prepared? Monday, April 7, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., KH Mediation, WesleyLife, Jones & Associates, Temple B’Nai Jeshurun, 5101 Grand Ave. Are you or a family member planning for retirement? Have you and your family had those hard discussions on what happens if you cannot take care of yourself? The Chamber has professionals who will host a series of forums to address the issues of getting older. It’s not a sales pitch but will provide education on the issues we all face as we get older.
Wake Up West Side, Wednesday, April 9, 8 – 9 a.m., KH Mediation, Plymouth Grounds, 42nd Street side of Plymouth Church. This unique coffee shop is run by Ruby Van Meter School students and volunteers, and is truly one of the west side’s hidden treasures. As a mediator, Kristen is the calm head in the room when people are in conflict. Leave this wake-up with warmth in your heart and a smile on your face.
Flash Panel, Wednesday, April 10, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Des Moines West Side, Downtown, and South/East Chambers. Location TBA. A “Flash Panel” is when members write down business challenges they are faced with. One of the issues is pulled out, and three people are asked respond to the issue.
