Make your Lenten season more meaningful by attending the first performance of the Last Supper Drama, presented by the men of the West Des Moines United Methodist Church, 7 p.m. at Easton Place United Methodist Church, 2412 Easton Boulevard, Des Moines, Iowa.
Over 400 performances of the drama, based on Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, have taken place since 1970.
To get to Easton Place United Methodist Church from Interstate-235 going south (west), exit at East University Avenue and turn right. Easton Boulevard is the first street on the right after the exit. Continue east on Easton under the freeway to beyond East 24th Street. Easton Place is on the north side of Easton Boulevard on the opposite side of Easton from the Quik Trip.
From Interstate-235 going east (north), exit at Easton Boulevard and turn right. Go east on Easton Boulevard beyond East 24th Street. Easton Place UMC is on the north side of Easton Boulevard on the opposite side of Easton from the Quik Trip.
Other performances will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Elkhart, IA on April 5; at Bloomfield United Methodist Church in Des Moines on April 9; at Carlisle United Methodist Church in Carlisle on April 16; at West Des Moines United Methodist Church on April 17, and at the First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown, IA on April 18.
