She married the love of her life, William Archie Lankford in 1947. Marge was a very busy full-time Mom, a wonderful cook, and she enjoyed hosting family events. For 15 years she was the Superintendent of the Iowa State Fair Museum and also was a greeter at the Des Moines Civic Center. She loved working in the yard in her flower beds, and always enjoyed the company of her pet dogs and cats. She was especially proud of her grand-children, and loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her sister, Joan Wiese; three children, Cindy (Bill) Sorrell of Des Moines, Ron Lankford of Louisville, Kentucky, and Bob (Susi) Lankford of Ankeny; five grand-children, and nieces and nephews.
