Author Michael Wellman will visit the Franklin Avenue Library at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22.
Wellman’s newest book is his first novel, “Versus the Demons.” From a young age, Shorty Irslund dreams of being a professional baseball player, but his dream meets several unexpected challenges along the way. “Versus the Demons” is a story about faith, hope, love and the bases Shorty has to touch as he makes his way around the bush leagues before ultimately coming home.
Saturday, Feb. 15, 22, 11 a.m.
Visit the library to sign up for a 10-minute slot to read a favorite story to therapy dog Scout on Feb. 15 or Remmy on Feb. 22. Sharing stories with the therapy dogs is a fantastic way to practice reading skills and make a furry friend at the same time.
