A: Well, first of all, congratulations on making the decision to create health. Unfortunately, I’m sorry to have to tell you: no medication has ever created health. And there is no such thing as a medication without side effects.
As tempting as it is to take a pill in the hopes it will make you healthy, it just “ain’t gonna happen.” In many ways weight-loss gimmicks, whatever they are, simply enable people to live unhealthy lifestyles. The good news is if you really have decided to not only lose weight, but become a healthy person, you can do that by making small consistent changes.
One great tool is our 30-day email challenge I’ve mentioned here before. Find it at www.habitsofhealth.com. Everyone needs support, and sometimes success means just finding the support you need. (Different strokes for different folks.)
Look deeply at what is important to you, honestly appraise your current situation without self-judgment or blame, locate your support, and then begin taking those small steps. You will have begun creating a lifetime of healthy habits.
