Happy New Year from the Chamber

Posted January 01, 2014 in Community Featured, Perry

I hope the holidays found everyone well and the new year is full of joy and prosperity. The Perry Chamber had a great year in 2013.

We held a very successful RAGBRAI overnight stop. We were fortunate enough to make a profit, which we gave back to all the organizations that made it the success it was. There were far too many great business success stories to list, but one of them was the purchase of the Hotel Pattee by the Hartz family along with a significant amount of local investors. This is just one of many examples of how Perry can come together to get things done. The Hotel Pattee is a beautiful part of our community, and we are happy to help promote it along with all of the other great amenities that our town has to offer.

We realize how tough times can be, but our Chamber is full of generous businesses that allow us to promote our community the best we can. Without your generosity we would not be able to host the events that make Perry such a great place to live, work and play. The new year is sure to be another busy and productive one for the Chamber. We are gearing up for a series of lunch and learns, a peer-to-peer Design Lab and a few new bike rides, just to hint at a few things.

The Perry Area Chamber Board and Staff want to wish everyone a safe and happy 2014. We look forward to serving our members with great quality of life events, business development programs and networking events in this upcoming year. Thank you to our members that support the Chamber through their generosity of membership and sponsorship of many of our events!

37th Annual BRR will be held on Feb. 1
It’s that time of year again. Are you ready for the frigid, fun-filled bike ride that started it all? BRR Central/Registration will be located at the Hotel Pattee again this year. The Lions Club will get the tires rolling in the morning with breakfast in the Grand Ballroom. Rippey will host a beer tent to keep riders out of the weather for a bit before they return to Perry to celebrate all that downtown has to offer. Various bars, restaurants and retailers will be having specials for locals and riders that day, so make sure to come out. BRR is a great way to showcase what Perry has to offer. To register, go to Remember this is the largest fundraiser for the Chamber, and it helps set the tone for the rest of the year.
