Q: My child has no pain. Why does he need to be adjusted?

Posted December 04, 2013 in Advice Column, Ames

A: The main purpose behind chiropractic care is to ensure you have a properly functioning nervous system. This is absolutely vital because our nervous system controls every single function in our body, and any dysfunction of that nervous system can be detrimental.

This does not always result in pain, but can lead to other symptoms such as constipation, ear infections, bedwetting and colic. In fact, chiropractic adjustments have an 80 percent success rate in being able to resolve ear infections, while antibiotics are only necessary in one out of every five cases.

While chiropractic care has great success in resolving these issues naturally, it’s also important to note that chiropractic care also boosts immune function, so regardless of any symptoms, it is especially important this time of year to receive regular care to keep you and your family healthy and happy.
