Kids Programs in December at JPL

Johnston Public Library has a great offering of kids and tweens activities in December. Save the date for these exciting upcoming programs:

Holidays in Johnston
Saturday, December 7 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm
snowmanChildren and their families are invited for an afternoon of holiday fun. Come anytime between 2:30 and 4:30 for a visit with Santa, holiday stories and crafts, cookie decorating and eating, gingerbread house displays and judging, Hy-Vee food crafts and special music. The afternoon kicks off when Santa arrives on the fire truck at 2:30 and ends with a prize drawing and tree lighting with the mayor. No registration is necessary.

‘Phun’ with Physics
Wednesday, December 11 at 3:30pm
Hands-on fun with science and problem solving for students in grades 3 through 5. This class is led by a JHS/Central Academy senior. Please call the library at 515-278-5233 to register.

Stories with Dan Wardell
Friday, December 27 at 10:30am
Join Dan Wardell, host of IPTV’s Kids Clubhouse for some entertaining and interactive storytelling fun! Kids of all ages are welcome; no registration is required.

Winter break Movie and Treats
Sunday, December 29 at 2:00pm
Bring the family to see a free flick on the big screen. Did you ever wonder if the monsters that hide in your closet had to go to college? They did! Come see the hilarious animated prequel to this animated family favorite. No registration necessary; movie treats provided.
