DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 26, 2013 – The Mansion, an interior design and fine furnishings firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Joe Boehm to its team of professional interior designers.
“Joe has had a true influence on American interior design for over 30 years,” said Ted Irvine, president and owner of The Mansion. “We are pleased to offer his vast experience to our customers.” Boehm will work on special projects and design interiors for Mansion customers, while continuing as a contributing editor to the publishing industry.
Boehm comes to The Mansion with a distinguished career with Meredith Corporation, where he served as senior projects interior designer for Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There, he designed interiors for special home-building projects and show houses. In addition, Boehm served as the magazine’s liaison to the design/home furnishings industry, and was instrumental in curating the Better Homes and Gardens furniture collection. His knowledge of trends led him to an advisory capacity across Meredith Corporation divisions and to speaking engagements to select audiences across the nation.
A native of New Orleans, Boehm lives in Des Moines. Well-traveled and well schooled in art history and period furnishings, he brings unique inspiration to every project he touches, Irvine said.
