Services for Robert “Bob” L. Renshaw, 72 of Bouton, Iowa will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Minburn, IA.  Pastor Paul Burrow will officiate the service with Mona Holmstrom as the organist.  Musical selections will include; Bridge Over Troubled Water, Could I Have This Dance and I Love My Truck.  Pallbearers will be:  Chad Renshaw, Clinton Renshaw, Nathan Hilpipre, Kalen Renshaw, Zac Freier, Brian Morrison, Stacy Freestone and Brian Sondgeroth.  Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013 with the family receiving friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Murdock Funeral Home in Perry, IA.  Burial will be in Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.  Bob passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at his home in rural Bouton.

Bob was born November 26, 1940 the son of Robert W. and Theo E. (Tharp) Renshaw in rural Bouton, IA.  Bob was raised and lived his entire life in the rural Bouton area where he farmed with his family.  He was united in marriage to Janice Ridnour on September 16, 1958 in Plattsmouth, NE.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gun collecting.  Bob was a member of the Perry Elks Lodge #407 for 52 years.  With a smile on his face, Bob never knew a stranger and loved making new friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother in 1947 and father in 1989 and one sister Linda Lawrence in 2012.

Bob is survived by his beloved mother Gloria Renshaw, wife Janice Renshaw, brothers Jack Renshaw and Mark Renshaw, son Brad Renshaw, daughters Jodi (Mark) Hilpipre and Lynn Renshaw, eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.  His niece Kelly (Jack) Tiernan, nephews Chad Renshaw, Clinton Renshaw and Rodney Lawrence and his extended family Cheryl McCool, Shana (Brian) Morrison, Cathy (Stacy) Freestone and Renae (Brian) Sondgeroth.

A memorial has been established to the Minburn United Methodist Church or “MERT” and may be left at Murdock Funeral Home in Perry.  Online condolences may be left at www.murdockfuneralhome.net.
