Due to circumstances beyond our control, the chlorination changes that were scheduled to begin this week are being postponed until December.
Beginning Monday, December 2nd, the Perry Water Works will be increasing the chlorine dose that is added to our water. This is necessary from time to time to control the formation of nitrite in the water distribution system. We will maintain this free chlorine residual for two to three weeks.
You may experience an unpleasant taste and odor of the water for a few days as this chlorine works its way through the water distribution system. This should clear up after a day or two.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Please call the Perry Water Works at 465-2562 if you have any questions.
