New programs

Two new programs are being offered at the library in early November. A class will be held on Transcendental Meditation on Nov. 4 and another titled What is Radon? How are we exposed? How can we protect ourselves? on Nov. 5. Call the library at 266-7815 for more information!

Movies and Popcorn are held on the third Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. There is no charge for this activity. Great children’s movies are shown. This is a wonderful activity for the whole family.

Holiday closing
The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29. Have a great Thanksgiving.

New story times
Story times are now held on Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. only. Crafts are held every Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m.

A new story time for toddlers is held at 10:10 on the second and fourth Mondays of every month.

On Wednesdays, bring back any items that are overdue, including videos, and no fine will be charged.

Friends membership drive
The Friends of the Pleasant Hill Library membership drive is underway. The Friends have purchased books on CDs, DVDs, paid for a popcorn machine and bought computers and other equipment for the library.

Please consider attending Friends meetings and becoming an active member. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis. The next meeting will be Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. at the library.
