Jennifer Allison, 37, passed away October 11, 2013 at Hospice Kavanagh House from cancer. Jennifer was born on November 1, 1975 in Des Moines, the daughter of Donald and Trish Allison. She graduated from Dowling High School and earned her BA in Communications from the University of Iowa. Jennifer began her career at ITN (Independent Television Network) in New York City and then in 2001 joined WHO TV News as a Graphic Artist, where she worked until March 2013.

Jennifer is survived by her mother, Trish Allison of Altoona; her sister, Melissa (Paul) Blankenhagen of Norwalk; niece, Isabella and nephews, Max and Alexander; grandmother, Evelyn Allison of Des Moines; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; grandparents, Richard Allison and Dale and LaVon Ives.

Her family will receive friends from 5-8pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Iles Funeral Homes – Grandview Park Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
