Des Moines, IA October 26, 2013: Generations of Compassion Foundation (GCF) is a fully recognized 501©3 non-profit organization committed to helping individuals and families in need. GCF offers help in a variety of ways whether the need is financial or volunteer time. Examples of previous assistance include helping seniors move to assisted living by packing their belongings, cleaning their home for resale and providing transportation to appointments; helping a single mom by purchasing groceries when she was out of work; and holding a benefit to raise funds for medical bills for a young family without insurance.
Last year, GCF raised over $7,000 during the Monsters Ball Benefit. The proceeds were donated to a man who had suffered a rare disease in which he lost blood flow to his hips. He was forced to have a double hip replacement surgery at 25 years old.
This year’s Monster’s Ball Benefit will be held at The Venue in Downtown Des Moines on October 26th from 6pm-11pm. Tickets are free for kids under 2, $5 for kids 2-11, $10 for adults and $25 for families (2 adults and kids). There will be live music performed by local country band Rebyl Road from 8pm-10pm.
