Founded in 1995, the Komen Iowa Affiliate raises funds to support the Komen for the Cure promise of saving lives and ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures. The Affiliate serves 81 of Iowa’s 99 counties by proving services to raise awareness and provide education about breast cancer and breast health issues.

Of the funds raised, 25% is put directly toward breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants program and 75% stays in our communities and provides education, screening and treatment support services to the women and men of our service area.
