Travis Anderson, age 39, of 1231 Noble Hills Place, died October 4, 2013, at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Funeral Services are Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Open Bible Church with Rev. Carla Werre officiating. Burial will be in the Linwood Park Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Boone Veterans Council.

Travis Lee Anderson was born February 13, 1974, in Boone, the son of Thomas ‘Tom’ and Kristy (Olerich) Anderson.

He graduated from Boone High School in 1992.

On October 19, 2012, Travis married Amber Muhlenburg in Boone.

He served with the United States Navy during Desert Storm.

Travis was employed by the Golden Corral in Boone before he became disabled.

He enjoyed mushroom hunting, camping, cooking, watching movies, dirt biking, and playing golf with his brothers.

Travis loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, and a cousin.

Travis is survived by his wife Amber of Boone; a son Bodie Brogden and two daughters, Bailee Brodgen and Emma Brogden, all of Boone; his mother Kristy Malone and husband Robert of Boone; brothers Dusty Anderson and Tracy Anderson and wife Becca, all of Boone; stepmother Janis Anderson of Boone; his grandmother Gladys Anderson of Boone; his step grandmother Maureen Stark of Stratford; step brothers Jerry Wilhelm of Dayton and Jeff Wilhelm and wife Chris of Woodburn; step sisters Carrie Halverson and husband Jim of Kansas City, Missouri, and Natalee Clabaugh of Stratford; his in-laws Robin and Jim Bridges and Bruce and Deb Muhlenburg, all of Boone; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Tuesday from 2 until 8 p.m. where the family will be present from 6 until 8 p.m.

Visitation on Wednesday will be at the Church after 9:30 a.m.

In memory of Travis, memorials may be directed to the family.
