Perry area residents are invited to join in on a walk to make Iowa the Healthiest State.

Dallas County Hospital is hosting the local Iowa Healthiest State Walk on Wednesday, October 9th.  The 1 kilometer walk starts at 1:00 p.m. in the north parking lot of the hospital and it is open to everyone.

The Healthiest State Walk started in communities across Iowa in 2011 and each year hundreds of thousands come together and take steps toward becoming more healthy.

Participation in the walk is free.
