Posted October 08, 2013 in Altoona, Community Web Exclusives

Would you like to help your local schools just by taking a minute to remove labels from products you already purchase?  Well now is your chance.

Jacque Dilks, PTA Member at Altoona Elementary, wants to help educate our community on an easy way to help local schools.  Altoona Elementary participates in three different programs.  The first is Box Tops for Education.  The Box Tops can be found on many products such as: Ziploc Bags, General Mills Cereal, Hanes, Progresso Soup, GoGurt and Hamburger Helper.  Each little Box Top is worth $.10 for our school.  They add up very quickly.  Altoona Elementary has a goal of $2800 for the 2013-14 school year.  Visit  for more information.

The second program is Labels For Education.  These labels are found on Campbells Soup, Pepperidge Farm, Emerald, Bic, Prego, Glad, V8, Pop Secret and Swanson.  These labels earn the schools points that can be redeemed for educational merchandise for the classrooms.  Our goal for Labels for Education is 50,000 points.  Visit for more information.

The third program is Tyson Labels.  These are worth $.24 each and can be found on Tyson Chicken Products.

If you would like to help out Altoona Elementary, contact Jacque at to find out how you can contribute to help reach our goal.
