Nick Neal
Nicholas E. Neal, 34 of Des Moines died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 at Iles Grandview Park Chapel. Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Nick was born in Des Moines and graduated from SE Polk High School before completing an Associate Degree in IT at Vatterott College. He worked as an IT Analyst for General Dynamics. He was a loving man who worked hard to support his family. He was actively involved in his children’s education and activities which included volunteering for the SE Polk Wrestling and Football programs. He will be missed for his unique sense of humor, thoughtful advice and caring nature.
Nick’s survivors include his wife of 13 years, Casi; three children, Nico, Trenton and Jaci; mother, Sheri Neal; father, Steve Wheatley; two brothers, Adam and Jordan Neal; niece, Maria Neal; brother-in-law, Chris Spurgin; grandmother, Linda (Jim) Hashman; great grandmother, Jesse Zorn and many other extend family members. He was preceded in death by grandmother, Jacquelyn Neal and mother-in-law, Julie Edwards and cousin, John Neal III.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, September 30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Nicholas and Cassandra Neal Memorial Fund at Affinity Credit Union, 475 NW Hoffman Lane Des Moines, IA 50313.
