Perry, Iowa – Perry Lutheran Home is excited to announce that it has recently signed an agreement that would expand its services to include the Spring Valley Retirement Community, located on the Dallas County Hospital campus. The partnership will strengthen the community and the organizations involved.
The agreement, which includes leasing the Spring Valley facility to Perry Lutheran Home, will become effective November 1st. All current residents and Spring Valley staff will become a part of Perry Lutheran Home. The facility and services offered at Spring Valley will not be changing.
“This is a great day for Perry Lutheran Home,” said Rev. Max Phillips, Perry Lutheran Home CEO. “This partnership allows us to expand on our mission of providing greater access to high-quality spiritual and physical care for those we serve. Also, this creates the opportunity to add a third memory care unit to our existing two, providing a full scale continuum of care.”
Matt Wille, Spring Valley and Dallas County Hospital CEO, agreed, “We are very excited to welcome Perry Lutheran Home to our campus. Dallas County Hospital’s connection to the Spring Valley facility will continue to give those residents access to a wide range of medical services right next door.”
In 1956, the Perry Lutheran Home began service to the Perry area as the first resident extended care facility. Since then, they have continued to build on their foundation as a Christian Caring Community, providing assisted living, traditional nursing care and specialized memory care.
Opened in 2001, Spring Valley Retirement Community’s mission is to provide a safe and secure home for mature adults that promotes independence, health, physical, spiritual and mental well-being. For more information, please call 515.465.7501.
