Wayne John Reisner, 74, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013. Wayne was born May 5, 1939 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Vernon and Florence Reisner. He was united in marriage with Helen (Lipsky) Reisner on July 6, 1963. Wayne was a very smart man and had many accomplishments in his life. He retired from the Air Force as a Captain. He was a great football player and a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Wayne’s special interests were fishing and playing cards. It’s important to note that Wayne never once in his life cheated at cards. His fondest memories were made always with family and he wanted nothing more in his life than to be with them. He was a man of great faith and appreciated the simple things in life including nature. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you to the staff on the third floor of Powell Inpatient Center of the Iowa Methodist Medical Center for the loving care they provided Wayne. Special thanks to Lauren, Alicia, Alesha, and Violet. The family is also grateful for the doctor that provided care for Wayne, Dr. Richard Hettinger. Left to cherish Wayne’s memory is his wife of 50 years, Helen, their children; Jon M. (Angel) Reisner, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Cheryl (Curt) Sindelar, Clive, Iowa. Grandchildren; Justin and Josh Sindelar, his sister, Mary Kay (Jim) Mills, and niece Katheryn Mills of Neillsville, WI, and a host of relatives and dear friends. Services for Wayne will be held at Brooks University Chapel, 7975 University Blvd, Clive, at 11a.m. Monday, September 30, 2013. Family will be greeting guests at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105
