Sunday Sept 22:
Stadium Painting starts at 1:00pm. All students are invited to show their spirit and help decorate the stadium walkway. Prizes will be given to the best design!
Monday Sept 23:
Rock Around the Clock begins at 7 pm in the baseball stadium. Spectators can watch from outside the fence.
Thursday Sept 26:
- Homecoming Parade begins at 6pm at the corner of Pioneer Parkway and Greendale. The parade travels on Pioneer Parkway to 62nd and ends at the HS. View the map here.
- Homecoming BBQ starts at 7:00 (After parade). Game is free to attend. BBQ is $5 for burger or hotdog, chips, and a drink.
- Powder-puff football is a flag football game between the girls in each grade. Sophomores play the juniors to start the evening at 7:30 in the stadium. Then the winners play the seniors.
- New this year we have a CAR SMASH! Students will have the opportunity to smash away at a Ankeny car with a sledge hammer. The car smash will be located on the practice fields west of the baseball fields. The event will be from 7:00pm-8:30pm (right after the parade and during/after powder-puff). To smash the car we are asking for $2.00 for 1 swing and $5.00 for 3 swings. All money received will be donated to the Dig Pink Spike Blue fund. We hope to see everyone there!! Go Dragons!
Friday Sept 27:
Coronation: Before the Varsity Football game against the Ankeny Hawks, we will be announcing the homecoming king and queen. All court members and their parents will be introduced starting about 7:00 pm.

Saturday Sept 28:
Homecoming Dance: “A Night on the Boardwalk”
The dance is open to all JHS 10-12 graders and their guest. Tickets on sale in JHS Accounting Office
Sept. 16 – Sept. 20: $10
Sept. 23 – Sept. 27: $15
Dance: Sept. 28 from 8-11pm at Summit Middle School
