[ALTOONA], Iowa – [JONI & GREG CHAMPION] of [ALTOONA] were announced as winners of a new roof in Bakeris Roofing’s No Roof Left BehindTM initiative. [The Champions have three girls. Two of the girls have a rare neurological disorder, one of which is also a cancer survivor. They went from running and playing to being wheelchair bound by their teens. Times have been difficult but they keep positive by helping others.]. “[That’s greats, thank you!],” says [CHAMPION] when hearing the news.
Bakeris Roofing has scheduled to start the project the week of Sept. 23rd. Bakeris Roofing has dubbed the event an Installation Celebration, as it promises to be a family friendly, festival style neighborhood event that the community is invited to join on Saturday Sept. 28th. “We don’t just work in Polk County. We live here, shop here and raise our families here. We wanted to let the community know just how important they are to us,” says Jeff Bakeris. “Giving away a free roof seemed like a logical way to do that.”
Other local businesses have pledged to support the No Roof Left Behind initiative as well. Dr. Jason & Dr. Laura Mooney of Mitchellville Family Chiropractic have donated services. Schaal Heating & Cooling have given a free furnace and air tune up. Schneider Graphics donated the signage for the nominees. Char Klisaris of Keller Williams and Skip & Sue Hills of Altoona gave financial support to the program. Richard Grace owner of Aftergrace Foods is donating food for the celebration. Northstar Photography will be taking pictures. As well as our product suppliers. “We are very happy to see other community leaders have stepped up to assist. Teaming up for the good of the community has been one of the program highlights,” says Jeff Bakeris.
