ARL and Breck’s to Host Des Moines 5K Dog Jog

September 6, 2013 (Des Moines, Iowa) – The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) and Breck’s have teamed up to bring a new, dog-friendly race to the Des Moines area! The Des Moines Dog Jog is a 5k walk/run that will take place on Saturday, September 21st in downtown Des Moines. Runners who wish to compete in the timed race will start at 3:00 pm, with walkers and fun-run participants starting at 3:30 pm. The race will start and finish at Breck’s (207 Fourth Street).

Everyone is welcome to join in on the post-race street party outside Breck’s, and “Street Party Passes” will be available to those who would like the goody bag and t-shirt, but choose to forgo the race. The “early-bird” race fees end on Friday, September 6.
