Gordon Rorebeck
Gordon F. Rorebeck, 84, of Ankeny, passed away September 5, 2013 in Des Moines. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Ankeny Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
Gordon was born June 14, 1929 in Jefferson City, MO to Furn and Faye (Stamper) Rorebeck. He was a supervisor in the printing industry and upon retirement, Gordon expanded his love of antiques into a thriving business. He was U.S. Navy Veteran during the Korean War. Gordon was instrumental in the formation of Little League baseball in Ankeny.
Gordon is survived by his three sons, Bill (Cheryl) Rorebeck, Randy (Mary) Rorebeck, and Steven G. (Peggy) Rorebeck; ten grandchildren, Andrew (Hannah) Rorebeck, Nathan (McKenna Knights) Rorebeck, Jennifer (Josh Wolters) Cockrum, Richard (Shawnah) Cockrum, Madison (Robert) Lange, Ried Rorebeck, Cassidy Rorebeck, Matt (Crystal) Rorebeck, Josh (Leslie) Rorebeck and Brean (Chad) Bartlett and eleven great-grandchildren.
