Leonard Spencer
Leonard, 82, went to be with the Lord on August 31. He was born to Raymond and Florence Spencer on June 8, 1931 in Des Moines. Leonard was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Indianola Regular Baptist Church.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Jean; five children: Kathy Spencer, Karen (Lindsey) Butcher, Karla (Todd) O’Brien, Raymond (Tammy) Spencer, and Kim (Mike) Rochholz; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 3 at Brooks South Town Chapel at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Des Moines. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Indianola Regular Baptist Church.
