Steve Peterson announces candidacy for Mayor of Windsor Heights

Posted August 28, 2013 in Community Web Exclusives, Windsor Heights

Peterson says the city is well regarded for its high quality of living at the center of the metro area, but that the city continues to need thoughtful leadership to preserve its reputation in the region.

“My goal in running for Mayor is to maintain the high standards we have come to expect and enjoy,” he said. “In these challenging times, this will require careful planning and commitment to the long-term good of the community.”

Peterson, 64, moved to Windsor Heights in 1979 and has been actively involved with Windsor Heights for seven years, serving on the City Council for more than five years and with the Chamber of Commerce for one and a half years. He works in client services at DuPont Pioneer, a role he’s held for eight years.

For more information, email Steve Peterson will be at Grounds for Celebration, 6601 University Ave in Windsor Heights on Saturday September 7th at 9:00-10:30 AM for residence to stop by and meet the candidate.
