Jay Smith
Jay Palmer Smith passed away peacefully with family at his side August 26.
Jay accomplished many things in his life: proud partner in his own business, self taught chef, and life-long golfer. He appreciated a fine wine and a Maduro cigar.
Jay was a strong, proud man with a quick wit and a sharp mind. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather blessed with many friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Marianne, and their daughter, Lissa and Tyson Iles and three grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Geneva; siblings, Linda and Laurie; father-in-law, Tony; in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church of which he was a member.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
