Join us September 7 at 10:30 a.m., for a celebration as we kick-off the library’s newest early literacy program for children 0-5 years old – 1,000 Books before Kindergarten. This program encourages parents and caregivers to read 1,000 books with their children before starting school. Research finds the more children hear books read to them the more prepared they will be to learn to read in kindergarten. Come learn about the program and how to sign up your children. Debbie Doo-Wop and Dynamite Dan will entertain us with some great music throughout the morning. All ages welcome for the concert, but registrations for the early literacy program are open to children (baby-preschooler) who are not yet in kindergarten. Register for the kick-off party online at www.cityofclive.com/departments/library or in person at the library. This program is made possible by a generous donation from the Friends of the Clive Public Library.
