James Molle, Sr.
James Cecil Molle, age 78, lost his brave battle against cancer on August 17, 2013 at the home of his daughter near Seymour, Iowa. James was born on August 26, 1934 to parents Melvin and Mae(Wood) Molle at Redondo Beach, California. The family moved to Oklahoma and then Iowa, where James finished his schooling in Coon Rapids, Iowa. A Veteran of the Korean War, James worked as a truck driver and also done cement work. He enjoyed spending time with his cats and his cockatiel. His love of animals, especially birds, was a lifelong passion.
James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia, his sons, Jeffrey Molle and Carl Nichols, his great grandson, Joseph McVeigh, and a Sister- in- law Marsha Molle.
He is survived by four children from his first marriage, Terri (Julie) Molle, Jimmy Molle, Laurie Molle and Christopher Molle. From James’ marriage to Juanita (Walker) Molle, he is survived by Les (Linda) Nichols, James Jr (Laura) Molle, Brenda (John) Barber and Teresa (Chris) Conger, 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, his siblings Kenneth Molle, Don (Helen) Molle and Alice ( Ross) Casteel.
According to wishes, Mr. Molle has been cremated and there will be no memorial services at this time. Memorials have been established to either the Centerville American Legion or a local animal shelter and may be given to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
