End of summer at the library

Posted August 14, 2013 in Community Blogs

Ah, the last week of summer vacation!  By this time next week, kids will be back in school, and the regular routine will start.  We’ve enjoyed seeing so many of the children and young adults visiting the library this summer.  Hopefully they’ve retained some of their reading skills and can put them to good use this fall.

This week we’ve been doing some rearranging in the public computer area, making room for two additional workstations for patrons to use.  They should be available by the end of the month.  We’ve also been moving desks, tables, and shelving in the work room to make a more efficient work space for processing, cataloging, and the Books on the Go program.

Reading logs for the Children’s Summer Reading Program can still be turned in at the Children’s Desk until the end of the month.  We hope to see you soon!
