Bob Wittkowski
Robert “Bob” Wittkowski, 85 died August 7, 2013 peacefully at his home. A memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A private inurnment will be held at a later date. Bob was born December 21, 1927 in Des Moines to William and Hazel(Wyatt)Wittkowski. He graduated from Lincoln High School. He was an undefeated Golden Gloves Champion in 1944 & 1945. Bob worked for Solar Aircraft, Lambert Dairy and retired from Cargill. He was a hard worker and enjoyed the great outdoors especially working on his acreage where he had lived for over 58 years. Bob is survived by his wife Violet; children, Kathy(Dick)Button, Coleen(Mike)Niday, Robbie(Darla)Wittkowski; step children, Sue Kempenaar, Rich Marshall and David Marshall; brother Bill(Opal) Wittkowski; 14 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife, Avis.
