Jeffrey Dutler, 53, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at his home in Ankeny, IA after battling kidney cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Ankeny Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jeffrey Alan Dutler was born March 23, 1960 in Iowa City, IA. He was the son of Richard “Tom” Malone and Janis LaMaack. He grew up and received his education in Carroll, IA. Jeff was currently working as the manager of KFC in Ankeny. On March 16, 1996 Jeff was united in marriage to Margaret Hall in Ankeny, Iowa.
Jeff was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeye Football and Basketball teams. He also had a passion and loved to golf at various courses in the area. On June 7, 2011 he recorded a golfers dream with a hole-in-one on the 12th at Woodland Hills.
Survivors include his wife Margie; sons, Chad Dutler, Corey Dutler, Joseph Van Roekel, and Nicholas Van Roekel; grandsons, Brandon Dutler, Hayden Dutler, and Chase Dutler; father, Richard Tom Malone; sister, Julie Dutler; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis.
