Last chance to dig into reading for the summer

Posted July 24, 2013 in Community Blogs

This week was our last Tuesday Adventure for the Summer season.  We hope all of you enjoyed all the performers and the entertainment they provided.  A big thanks to Dan Wardell for visiting the Fort Dodge Public Library again this year.  We had about 600 people in the audiences for the shows.

This week the Library hosts the last Preschool Storytimes for the Summer.  The Summer Reading Programs, however, still continue until the end of August, so for those boys and girls that have not registered for that program, please come in, sign up and pick up your reading log.  We have had a record number of children sign up for the programs this summer, but there’s still plenty of time to get some quality reading time in before school starts.

We hope you have enjoyed seeing all the “artwork” in front of the checkout desk.  We are so pleased with the number of children that have picked up Wiggles the Worm from the Children’s Reference Desk and brought him back with beautiful colors!  There’s more space available for more pictures of Wiggles, so come in and pick up a sheet to color.

Don’t forget to Dig into Reading at your Fort Dodge Public Library!
