Neva Marguerite Dallenbach, 89, passed from this life on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel, where the family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service time on Thursday. Burial will follow the service at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (near Van Meter) in Adel, IA.
Neva was born on November 5, 1923, in Lynch, NE to Ross and Mildred Keeley. She graduated from Bonilla (SD) High School and attended Cook’s Business College in Oelwein in 1941. She then spent ten years in Washington DC working for the U.S. government. Neva married Wayne Dallenbach on March 21, 1952 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She and Wayne lived in Waterloo and Pocahontas prior to moving to Des Moines about 1962.
Neva will be missed by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Dallenbach of Des Moines; son, Steven (Bry) Dallenbach of West Des Moines; granddaughter, Amanda (Darren) Wood of West Des Moines; great-granddaughters, Sidney and Finley Wood; and sister, Gail (Frank) Edmonds of Mount Pleasant, MI. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Mildred Keeley, and brother, Loren Keeley.
