Shappell Signs to Play Basketball at Grace University

Omaha, Neb. – Grace University announces that Austin Shappell has signed to play guard for the men’s basketball team this season. Shappell from Urbandale High School in Granger, IA—will be joining the Royals NCCAA Division II team that thrives on passion and teamwork.

The Grace Royals men’s basketball team works to succeed on the court and in the classroom. With the leadership of Head Coach Willie Williams and the team’s family-like support structure, the players are taught basic fundamentals and skills that allow them to achieve their goals—on and off the court.

Grace University, located in Omaha, Neb., is a regionally accredited, private Christian university with more than 40 diverse undergraduate, graduate and adult degree completion programs including education, business, psychology, music, nursing and Christian ministries. The university’s mission is to develop servant leaders for the home, the church and the world through excellence in biblically integrated education.
