Des Moines, Iowa – (July 10, 2013) – For the third consecutive year, Broadlawns Medical Center has been recognized as one of the nation’s “Most Wired Hospitals” by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. Conducted annually, the Most Wired survey is an industry-standard benchmark study that measures the level of IT adoption in U.S. hospitals and health systems.
“We are absolutely delighted to be among the nation’s ‘Most Wired’ for a third consecutive year,” says Jody Jenner, president and CEO of Broadlawns Medical Center. “With so many changes occurring over the past few years we have been able to consistently leverage technology to ensure our patients are receiving affordable, high quality care.”
Broadlawns was one of only 25 hospitals to be recognized in the Most Wired – Small and Rural category and one of eight hospitals that garnered recognition in Iowa.
In recent years, Broadlawns has implemented the PatientSecure™ palm vein scanning system, the online patient medication management system, and electronic medical records (EMR) to help better meet the needs of patients. In the past year, Broadlawns has continued to increase their already high-quality patient care by further digitizing their hospital information system to ensure patients are receiving preventive and condition specific care from highly regarded physicians.
