North Iowa is proud to welcome the highly-acclaimed Asante Children’s Choir. Coming from East Africa, an area plagued by years of devastating genocide and civil war, these 24 vivacious children have overcome the most extreme life circumstances and take pride in expressing their gratitude through uplifting songs and joyous dancing. They are dedicated to spreading love, hope and joy while raising awareness and resources for the desperate plight of orphans and other vulnerable children back in Africa. Asante accomplishes this mission by nurturing physical health, providing educational empowerment, and raising support to give hope to many other children in East Africa. Their performances are the true testimonies and a living “Asante” (thank you) to everyone who has invested in their lives giving them great pride and hope for a brighter future.
The Choir will be performing at two locations in North Iowa, Sunday July 28th at the Clear Lake Church of Christ at 7p.m. and Wednesday July 31st at the Mason City Band Shell in East Park at 7p.m (in case of rain event will be moved to Mason City Church of Christ). Both events are free and there will be an opportunity at the end of the concert to support this great cause.
