CLIVE, Iowa – Third Phase of Streetscaping to Begin this Summer Along NW 86th Street.
During the June 20 City Council meeting contracts were approved for construction of the NW 86th Street Streetscaping Project Phase III. The streetscape work includes sidewalk construction, masonry, a paver plaza, signage, trail improvements, signage and lighting enhancements in the southern area of the 86th Street corridor near the bridge over Walnut Creek.
Total cost of the improvements is expected to equal $757,483 and will be performed by a variety of contractors overseen by the City’s construction manager for the project, Construction Services, Inc. (CSI). Start date for the improvements is projected at July 1st and the project is expected to be completed by October 1st. Residents and motorists utilizing NW 86th Street will experience occasional road closures in the area of the bridge over Walnut Creek. At minimum, one lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.
