Beverly (Bev) Jean Williams, daughter of Charles Conklin and Velda Van Meter Conklin, was born February 10, 1935 in Boone, Iowa and died June 16, 2013 at Perry Health Care Center with her family by her side. She was 78 years 4 months and 6 days old. Bev was raised in Ogden, Iowa where she went to school. She was united in marriage to Bernard Roy Williams on April 20, 1951 in Blue Earth, Minnesota. They made their home in Perry, Iowa where they raised their children. Bev worked at Farmers Hybrid sorting corn, Rosie Toodors restaurant on Main Street, Fox’s Lunch, Kings Bakery in Perry and finally at Woodward State Hospital as a Housekeeper. After retiring from Woodward, due to knee issues, she became a stay at home mom. Bev was a former member of The Women of The Moose where she held many chairs and got her cap and gown. Bev battled Breast Cancer and won in 2001. She loved traveling in the camper and going different places, especially to Mt. Pleasant for the Old Thrashers Reunion. She also loved going to the Ogden Fun Days. She enjoyed bowling, watching ball games when the kids were younger, loved to dance and listen to her country music. She always enjoyed going to get her hair done and going to her favorite spots for coffee at the Perry Bowl and Hy-Vee where she would see all her friends. She always went to church and helped out as much as she could when she was well. Her biggest joys of her life were her grandkids, which she bragged about all the time. Bev is the last of her siblings. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Charles, Raymond, Verletta, Donnie, infant twins, Ronald, Richard, Doris, Delores and Lyle. She is survived by her husband Bernard Williams, daughters Patty Lile and Pam Williams both of Perry, and Bernadette Culp (Steve) of Ogden; eight grandchildren: Peggy Cannon (Dave) of Perry, Paula Pena of Perry, Penny Esquivel (Jose) of Denison, David Lile (Reanna) of Boone, Adam, Austin and Shelby Sorenson, and Clayton Culp of Ogden; eight soon to be nine great-grandchildren: Ashley Johnson of Des Moines, Augusto Jata of Perry, Cheyenne Pacheco of Perry, Leslie Mendez (Edgar) of Denison, Ricky Esquivel of Denison, Jacquelyn Esquivel of Denison, Bailey, Brooke and soon to be Blake Lile of Boone.
