The Dig Into Reading summer reading program runs from June 10 through July 20.
This year’s program offers children and teens so much more than the usual book logs to track reading; it’s a dynamic challenge reflecting the all-encompassing aspects of reading and literacy in our lives. We challenge teens to earn badges with activities like checking out books, attending programs, investigating the library’s online resources and answering trivia questions. We invite children to listen to stories, make up and tell stories and draw pictures of characters from their favorite books. And we ask parents to read nursery rhymes, sing songs and do finger plays like “The Itsy-Bitsy Spider” with their babies and toddlers. Be sure to stop by the library to sign up for this summer’s reading adventures.
