Donald Lee Kirby, age 80, of Moulton, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield, Iowa. He was born the son of Erca and Bessie (Adams) Kirby on November 23, 1932 near Moulton, Iowa. He graduated from the Moulton Community High Schools in 1952.

He served his country toward the end of the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. Donald was first united in marriage to Beverly Marvin, and they were later divorced. Then on March 4, 1978, He was united in marriage to Karen Taylor in Seymour, Iowa. He was a farmer northeast of Moulton, Iowa for many years and owned Don Kirby Tiling and Drainage Systems. He was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ and a member of the Moulton American Legion.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, Bert Kirby; sisters, Betty Keep and Bonnie Davis.

Donald is survived by: his wife, Karen Kirby of Moulton, Iowa; son, Dennis Kirby and his wife, Rochelle of Independence, Missouri; daughters, Donna Guinn and her husband, Greg of Independence, Missouri and Lisa Budiselich and her husband, Guy of Moscow Mills, Missouri; step-son, Rodney Bankes of Reno, Nevada; and step-daughter, Stephanie Mankowski and her husband, Mike of Waukesa, Wisconsin; sisters, Wilma Brinegar of Moulton, Iowa and Joann Replogle of Moulton, Iowa; a brother, Jack Kirby of Bloomfield, Iowa; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at the Orleans Church of Christ northeast of Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 2 pm until 8 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials can be made to the Sharon Bluffs Bible Camp and can be left or mailed to the funeral home. The Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa has been entrusted with the services for Mr. Kirby and condolences can be sent at:
