Ann Stark, age 91, of the Madrid Home in Madrid, and formerly of Pilot Mound, died at the Madrid Home on May 3, 2013.
A Funeral Mass will be Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ogden with Rev. James Bruch officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Ogden.
Alma Ann Stark was born on August 7, 1921, in Moorland, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Lochray) Harbacheck.
She graduated from Fort Dodge High School in 1938 and attended business college in Chicago.
On November 27, 1941, Ann married Milford Stark in Fort Dodge.
For over 30 years, Ann was employed with Citizens National Bank in Boone as a teller, assistant cashier, and later as a loan officer.
After retirement, Ann worked part time in the banking industry.
She served the city of Pilot Mound for 30 years, serving as Mayor and serving on the City Council.
Ann enjoyed mushroom hunting, golf, bowling, looking for antiques, and fishing and pontooning at Don Williams with her friend Lillian Vesey.
She also enjoyed music and dancing.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son-in-law Ray Clausen, two brothers, and six sisters.
She is survived by a son Gregory Stark and wife Trish of Scottsdale, Arizona; four daughters: Phyllis Harten and husband Bob of Oskaloosa, Sharon Clausen of Urbandale, Gwen Crecelius and husband Gene of Perry, and Chris Keenan and husband Jim of Indianola; a sister Joan Gibbs and husband Guy of Arvada, Colorado; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall on Wednesday from 1 until 8 p.m. where a Scripture/Rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. and the family will be present after 6 p.m.
On Thursday, friends may call at the Church from 9:30 a.m. to service time.
