Patricia “Pat” Felt, age 78, passed away at home, April 27, 2013. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Waukee Christian Church, with burial to follow at Waukee Cemetery.Pat was born in Dallas Center at the home of her parents, Robert and Gertrude Mishler, on October 17, 1934. She graduated from Dallas Center High School in 1953 and then worked for Allied Mutual Insurance in Des Moines and Brenton Bank in Waukee before staying home to raise her family. Pat married Richard (Dick) Felt November 18, 1956, and together they raised three children on the family farm.

Pat loved to read, watch the birds in her garden and spend time with her family.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles Mishler of Dallas Center and her grandson, James Kern ll. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Dick Felt, her sister, Hazel (Mishler) Johnson, her children, Susan Kern-Waukee, David (Jenny) Felt-Adel, and Daniel (Natalie) Felt-Waukee, grandchildren-Ryan Kern-Ft. Hood, Texas, Mackenzie, Marissa and Cody Felt of Adel, and Katelyn, Samantha and Abigail Felt of Waukee.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Monday at the Waukee Christian Church. Memorials can be made to Waukee First Responders. Online condolences will be welcomed at IlesCares.com.
