national-library-week-bookmarks-hsl_i_h440321The Grimes Public Library will be celebrating National Library Week from Monday, April 22 to Sunday, April 28. During that week, you will be able to pay overdue fines with a donation to the Grimes Community Food Bank. Bring an item from the food bank list (either call the library or check our web site for items recommended) and each item will be used to cancel out $1.00 of overdue* fines. View list of items HERE!

Also, all fines paid in cash during NLW will also be donated to the food pantry.  Last time we did this, we were able to provide 5 boxes of food and $185.00 to the food pantry, so clear up those old fines and help out your community food bank.

We will also have the GREAT new cookies courtesy of the new Urbandale Hy-Vee!  Registration for some fun drawings, not to mention the great services from our friendly and knowledgeable staff at the Library. So stop on by for Storytime, Lapsit, play a game of Wii Bowling with a friend, check out Facebook on a computer, or ask us a question you have always been wondering about!  We are here for you!

*Only overdue fines are eligible for this, not lost books, or fees associated with other types of fines.
