Spring fun at Clive Public Library

Spring is here, and the Clive Public Library has spring-themed activities for readers of all ages.

Bookin’ With Judy
April 16, 30, May 7
4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Judy invites 6-  to 10-year-old children to share in book discussions, reading and crafts on Tuesday afternoons. Books to be read and discussed will be distributed the first program of each session. Register online at www.cityofclive.com/departments/library or in person at the library.

Seeds of Fun
Thursday, April 18
6 – 6:45 p.m.
Spring has sprung at the library. Join us for some fun, spring stories and activities. Community Room. Register online at www.cityofclive.com/departments/library or in person at the library.

Baby Sign Language
Monday, April 15 and 22
6:30 – 7:15 p.m.
This four-week class for hearing parents and babies (infant – 18 months) will teach different vocabulary and techniques from American Sign Language to help you communicate with your baby. Each week will build on the previous week’s lesson. Register online at www.cityofclive.com/departments/library or in person at the library.

Get Blown Away  
Thursday, April 25
6 – 6:45 p.m.
Whoosh! A spring wind is blowing crafts and stories our way for a fun evening at the library. It will blow you away. Community Room. Register online at www.cityofclive.com/departments/library or in person at the library.

Clive Book Club
Tuesday, April 30
6:30 p.m.
The Clive Book Club invites adults to join this interesting and stimulating reading discussion group. The club meets in the Community Room at the Clive Public Library on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Informative discussions are held on the chosen novel with impressions and opinions being shared by all. Anyone interested may attend any or all of the monthly discussions and new members are always welcome. There is no cost to participate and some copies of most selections are available for checkout at the library.

In April the book club will discuss “The Language of Flowers” by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Lego Club    
May 1 • 4 – 5 p.m.
Join fellow Lego lovers for a fun afternoon of building. The library will provide the Lego pieces, and children will have time to build to their heart’s content (or until the hour is over.) All LEGO pieces will stay at the library so the next group can create, too. For children in first grade and older.
