Memorial services for Randall (Randy) Dumstorff, 49 of Minburn, Iowa will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Minburn. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  Pastor Cristen Decious will officiate the service and Pastor Bob Waldron will assist.  Organist will be Mona Holmstrom and musical selections will include: Amazing Grace, Coming Home and Go Rest High On That Mountain.   Honorary Pallbearers will be:  Harold Hill, Gary Paglia, Brent Gibbons, , Jim Burk, Hal Holmstrom and Chuck Landon. Ushers will be Greg Burket and Howard Goldsberry.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Minburn.  Memorials are suggested to Animal Rescue League of Des Moines, Minburn Emergency Rescue Team or Minburn United Methodist Church and may be left at the church or funeral home.  Murdock Funeral Home in Perry is in charge of the arrangements.

Randy was born March 23, 1964 in Des Moines, IA the son of Edwin and Phyllis (Denman) Dumstorff.  He graduated from Central Dallas High School at Minburn in 1982. After graduation he attended AIB in Des Moines and received an accounting degree.  Later Randy received his National Certified Pharmacy Technician License and was a Pharmacy Tech for 17 years.  Most recently, Randy was employed at the Walmart store in Grimes.   He was a very active and devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Minburn and in 2006 he graduated from Lay Ministry School.   He was involved in many church activities especially the EMMAUS Christian Organization.   In Randy’s spare time, he loved to watch Iowa Hawkeye sports and also cheered for the Cyclones and all other Iowa sports.    Randy passed away April 4, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Survivors include his mother Phyllis Dumstorff of Minburn; his Uncle Harold Denman of Minburn; his Aunt Diana Bristol of Davenport, IA; eight cousins and many cherished friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, grandparents Howard and Elsie Denman, four aunts and two cousins.
