April Happenings at the Library

Posted April 03, 2013 in Community Blogs

Preschool Story Time begins this week at the Fort Dodge Public Library!  If you haven’t stopped in or called to register your child, there’s still plenty of time.  The six week program is offered at three different times each week to accommodate schedules: Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday afternoons at 2 p.m.  Contact Laurie Hotz at (515) 573-8167, ext. 242 for more information.

Friends of the Fort Dodge Public Library present Brown Bag Briefings at the Library during the lunch hours on Thursdays in April.  This Thursday’s program is: “Last Words: Frederick’s Bionary” Presented by Frederick Blanch, Author, Beekeeper and Photographer This program will consist of readings from his recent book and is a witty, sad, charming and hilarious account of the author’s trials, travels and travails from the Great Depression Years spent in the farming community of Claremont, MN.  Coffee and a fruit beverage will be provided.  The meetings are held in the Library Meeting Room.

Happy Reading!
